Sunday turned out to be a georgous day. All that rain really cooled things down and we ended up spending most of the day outside. I had so much fun with my little girl and I didn't want it to end. Uncle Dan surprised us by dropping in on his way back from NY. He hasn't seen Josie in a while and they were able to catch up on some much needed quality time together.
And that was my first Father's Day with my baby girl. I couldn't have asked for it to unfold any other way. Although there were no big surprises or extravagant plans, it was perfect in its own right. What I'm going to remember most from this weekend isn't going to be the steaks that we had or the presents which were given and received. It's going to be the 3 of us rolling around Sunday morning in bed, playing and laughing until our sides hurt. It's going to be my little girl, passed out on her Uncle Dan's shoulder completely relaxed without a care in the world. Or Josie, having the time of her life for those 2 minutes that my brother had her up on his shoulder.
She's growing up so fast right before our very eyes. If there were only a way to slow down time ...
